Meet the Team

Skylar was born and raised in Tucson and definitely feels the desert is home for her. She has been a Dental Hygienist since 2019 and couldn’t imagine not working with teeth, she has such a passion for what she does! Skylar has 4 fur babies that she loves to spend time at home with. When she is not cleaning teeth, she’s usually at home working on some kind of home improvement, doing a craft or fun project or out on a drive somewhere, enjoying our beautiful Arizona!

Tomasa is from Tucson and is one of OVDG’s resident Dental Hygienists, bringing with her over 30 years of experience in the field. Her favorite part of being a hygienist is forming connections with her patients. She has been married for 35 years and is a mom to 3 beautiful children. In her free time, Tomasa enjoys spending time with family, knitting and cozying up to read a book while sipping on some coffee or tea.

Cindy is an Arizona native with nearly 30 years of experience in the dental field- 4 years as a dental assistant and the past 24 as a dedicated hygienist. She’s been married for over 20 years and is the proud mom of two wonderful daughters. In her free time, you’ll often find her cheering on Nebraska softball (go Big Red!), camping, hunting, or simply enjoying time with family and friends. Cindy strives to provide the most positive experience to all of our patients!

Jodene has lived in Tucson for over 45 years and has been a dental hygienist since 1999. She loves educating and building relationships with her patients, who become like family to her. Jodene is a mom of one daughter, who is currently attending the U of A, and always has 3-4 rescue dogs at a time!

She loves any opportunity for a road trip, camping or over-seas travel. Jodene also enjoys baking sourdough bread and considers herself to be a stained glass hobbyist.

Billie is a Tucson native and could never see herself leaving the Arizona sunshine. Before becoming a hygienist, Billie was a lead veterinary technician for 8 years. Because of this, animals will always be a big part of her life. She has been married for 9 years and has two beautiful daughters. You will either catch her reading, fishing with her family, singing Elton John with her daughters, drinking coffee, or scaling teeth– All of her favorite things!

Melinda has been a Tucson resident for over 20 years. Originally from Reno, Nevada, she studied at the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Education prior to graduating from Pima Community College Dental Hygiene program in 2013. Melinda enjoys traveling, skiing, camping and hiking with her husband of 20 years, 16 year old son & 14 year old daughter. Most weekends involve watching her children play club soccer, and enjoying the Tucson sunshine. Cooking a great dinner for family & friends, enjoying the outdoors and building relationships with patients are some of her most favorite things.

Amanda joins the OVDG team hoping to brighten your smile just as much as her young kids Noah and Dahlia do for her. Born and raised in Arizona, but loves to travel to new places with her husband and kids. As a Dental Hygienist, she works to provide exceptional care in our comfortable, family friendly setting. With her Associate’s in applied science earned at Pima

Community College’s accredited program by the American Dental Association Commission. Amanda works with our patients to keep you at ease for your visit. When she’s not with patients centering their needs, educating on approaches, and seeing results; Amanda is spending time enjoying time with her family and friends.

Janis is a born and raised Tucsonan. She graduated from Pima Community College’s Dental Hygiene program in 2014 and enjoys teaching for their program to this day. Janis strives to create genuine connections with her patients, in order to help them with their oral health while providing a welcoming and caring environment. She has a loving husband who she has been married to for 14 years. He is a military veteran and together they have two sons. When she is not working, you can catch Janis camping, traveling, and watching her boys play sports like soccer and basketball.

Cristen has been raised in Arizona! She has always had a passion for dental hygiene and has been working in the field for 15 years. She has recently obtained a Master’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of New Mexico. Prior she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from Northern Arizona University and an Associate’s in Applied Science from Pima Community College. Cristen enjoys helping, improving, and educating patients with their oral health. While she loves working with patients, she also enjoys teaching students in the Pima Community College hygiene program. When not working, she loves spending time with her family, friends, and dogs. Being a huge sports fan you will always find her watching or attending a game.

Miriam is a Tucson native who grew up on the east side. She attended Sahuaro high school before learning to become a dental assistant at Careington College. She brings over 6 years of dental assisting experience to OVDG. In Miriam’s free time she enjoys attending concerts in the greater Tucson and Phoenix area. Miriam loves to escape the heat and head up to Sedona where she enjoys hiking and spending time with family. When Miriam is looking to relax after a busy day she enjoys winding down by watching crime documentaries on Netflix.

Lorelei is a skilled dental assistant with 10 years of experience, she brings both precision and heart to every patient interaction. Outside of dentistry, she’s a proud boy mom and a true flag football enthusiast—coaching youth and high school teams while still finding time to play the sport she loves. Her energy, teamwork, and passion shine both on and off the field.

Sheila was born and raised in Arizona and has been a dental assistant for 38 years. Sheila has been married for 18 years, has 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Getting to know her patients and their needs make her happy- they become family! She enjoys spending time with her family and attending country concerts.

Sandra is a Tucson resident bringing over 16 years of dental assisting to OVDG. She graduated dental assisting in 2007 at pima community college. She enjoys helping patients and making them feel comfortable while visiting the dental office. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her significant other of 9 years and her 7 year old son playing games or enjoying a movie.

Cristina graduated from Pima Medical Institute and has spent the past four years working in the dental field, where she is passionate about helping others achieve optimal oral health. Outside of her career, she enjoys exploring Tucson’s diverse food scene and discovering new local favorites. Her three dogs keep her young and active, while yoga provides a calming balance in her life. Cristina is always looking for ways to grow personally and professionally while staying grounded.

Zoe was born in Minnesota and moved to Tucson in 2014. After graduating from Ironwood Ridge High School, she pursued her passion for dentistry and became a certified dental assistant through Pima Community College. Outside the office, Zoe loves catching the latest movies at the theater and spending time shopping with friends.

Betty is one of the first friendly faces you’ll see when visiting us. She is originally from Florida where she grew up immersed in the dental field via her grandmother who has been a dentist since the 1960s! She eventually moved to Tucson in her youth and later attended the University of Arizona. She enjoys, reading, traveling, exploring, as well as spending time with her family.

Teresa is Oro Valley Dental Group’s Insurance Coordinator and resident plant mom. She was born in Phoenix, AZ and spent most of her childhood in Indiana. Teresa brings 23 years of customer service experience and 5 years of dental experience to the OVDG family, along with a passion for providing an elevated patient experience. She is wife to Marcos and a mom to 5 beautiful kiddos, 2 pups, and 1 Indian Ring-neck parrot (you read that right folks, a PARROT!). In her free time you can catch her cozying up to read, listening to true crime podcasts, and attending car shows.

Anna is a desert native raised in Tucson who loves life’s small adventures. After over ten years in customer service, she recently started a new journey in dentistry. When she’s not helping patients or navigating the ins and outs of dental care, Anna enjoys puzzles, crafts, baking, home projects, reading, and cheering on her favorite football teams – Go Steelers!

As a Patient Care Coordinator, Hailey is dedicated to ensuring every patient experience is smooth, pleasant, and highly personal. Hailey brings a unique, comprehensive perspective to the role, having five years of experience as a Dental Assistant before joining our team and eventually transitioning to our front office. This clinical foundation, combined with knowledge in insurance verification and treatment planning, allows her to deliver care that is both compassionate and highly efficient. When Hailey is not here at the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 5 years and their 3 cats. She also enjoys spending her time camping, gardening, watching musicals, and reading.

Yasmine is one of the friendly faces you’ll find at our front desk, dedicated to making every patient feel welcomed and supported. As our Patient Care Coordinator, she plays a key role in ensuring smooth scheduling, clear communication, and a positive experience from the moment you walk in.

Outside the office, Yasmine loves spending quality time with her son, enjoying the outdoors through fishing trips and desert rides, and catching up with friends and family. She’s also an avid reader and a big fan of country music, often enjoying a good book with her favorite tunes playing in the background. Her friendly nature and attention to detail make her a valued part of the OVDG team!

Christian brings over 25 years of customer service expertise and more than 15 years of dedication to the Oro Valley community. Born in Boulder, Colorado, she calls Tucson her hometown, where life’s always full with her husband, four kids, and two fur babies. When she’s not cheering from the sidelines at soccer or basketball games, Christian loves crafting, taking road trips, relaxing at the beach, and working at the Tucson Gem Show. She began her journey at OVDG as our Insurance Coordinator and, through her leadership and passion for people, grew into the role of Office Manager. Many in the area may also recognize her from her years working at a nearby salon—after 15 years in Oro Valley, she’s become such a familiar face that she can’t make a quick trip to Fry’s or Target without running into someone she knows!
